Applying for a tenancy

If you wish to apply for a tenancy for a property, then all intended occupants over the age of 18 years are required to fill out an application form which can be collected from our office or downloaded below.

You will be required to pay an application fee on submitting your application, depending on your circumstances the application fees are as follows:

One Applicant – Individual Application Fee £180 (inc vat)
Two Applicants – Joint Application Fee £240 (inc vat)
Each Applicant thereafter – Additional Person Application Fee £60 (inc vat)
Guarantor – Guarantor Application Fee £60 (inc vat)

The Landlord will be notified of the application and providing they are in agreement, the property will be put under application and the application fee will become Non Refundable.Escritt Barrell Golding pride ourselves on having a clear pricing policy – We do not charge tenants: check in fees, administration fees for an Inventory, check out fees or reference fees.

Please note – Please only call in an emergency (i.e. If you have no heating/hot water, no electrics at all or any major plumbing leaks) Unfortunately your oven breaking down on Christmas day is not considered an emergency.

Should you call our engineers out during this period and it is not deemed an emergency you may be charged the additional call out.

Initial Procedures to keep you safe and prevent further damage

  • Smell Gas – Turn your gas off at the meter by turning the valve
  • Electrical fire – Turn all switches to the off position at your consumer unit
  • Water Leak – Turn your water off at the Stop Tap
